I've heard that we looked like fish back in the times when we climbed the trees. We were treeclimbing fish!
And then we jumped down, and as we landed our eyes slid forward (downward that is, as we landed with our faces looking down. That is: not looking down as such, but at least the faces we were to get were facing the earth we landed on).
You see (!): our fishy eyes were all wishy-washy by tumbling around so much, so they could not stand the pressure of landing. And the wishy-washyness of it all is the reason we jumped down in the first place: we could not stand the bloo.. fu..... branches waving about making us dizzy (that is: those of us who left the trees could not stand this. Some of "us" stayed (that is: they're not one of "us" any more, more like some kind of "them", apes you know), having better bowels, and were quite happy with the continuous grooming, waving and tight sitting on powerful branches).
And so we jumped down, and everything got better...
Not so! We left our true environment (snivvel... fish was always meant to climb in trees... snivvel more), and still haven't adapted to our new one (in fact we try to adapt the environment to us, and we're damn good at it too. Soon both us and "our" enviroment will be equally misadapted).
Oh fishy-fishy me!
Anyway: aliens we are!
