Darth Nik Rik - The Background Part 1
Wergo was one of his tribes premier warriors and on the forest moon of Endor few could
beat him when the white death arrived however Wergo found himself in a fight for his
tribes very life. Wergo fought hard that day and when it ended and the others celebrated
Wergo stood vigilant incase any of the white death remained. So it was that Wergo was
the only one to witness the arrival of the comet. Comets have long been feared by the
ewok race they foretold death and disease, but this comet slowed and spiralled down to
the ground. Eager to defend his people Wergo set off towards where the strange comet
had come down. What he found was not a comet but an black curved lozenge on which
many lights flashed on and off intermitantly. As he approached it belched forth smoke,
Wergo retreated to the treeline and watched. The Lozenge had split and opened up
much like a seed pod of the Kalcha plant but inside instead of the sweet flesh of Kalcha
pods was nothing but a small red glowing object. Approaching with fear in his heart
Wergo stared in wonder at the scintilating patterns produced on the surface of the
pyramid shaped object that appeared to be no bigger than his fist. He reached out to it
fascinated by its colours and as he touched it he was doomed a single needle shot from
the recesses of the craft and pierced Wergo in the side.
When Wergo came to it was to the sounds of battle all around casting away thoughts of
the strange pod he ran as fast as he could muster to his village. On the outskirts he saw
them six of the White Death and without a thought for himself fell upon them. As he did so
he felt himself full of anger at these accursed beings and his wrath was terrible he
managed to kill all six before exhaustion overwhelmed him and he again lost
conciousness.
Coming round Wergo found himself not among the bodies of the white death but among
that of his fellow warriors, his friends he had slayed them and despair filled him. Shouts
from the village alerted Wergo that his crimes had been discovered so Wergo ran blindly
into the forest. It was by no means coincidence that he once again found himself in the
clearing with the pod again, Wergo fell upon it trying to destroy it but it closed upon him
and trapped him.
Wergo had no idea how much time had passed but when the pod again opened he found
himself in another place altogether, a place he would learn was called Byss.
