I'm presuming they want to learn the projection so that they can create a new spell that utilises it?
"För att skapa en ny besvärjelse måste man ha kännedom om de rötter och eventuella projektioner (se sida 196) man vill att denna ska använda sig av; utöver detta måste man även spendera Erfarenhet. Att ha kännedom om en rot eller projektion innebär att man redan behärskar en besvärjelse som använder sig av den, att man äger en kodex där den förekommer eller att man kan undervisas av en mystiker som besitter kunskaperna kring den."

If they can find a tutor or a codex that contains the relevant projection(s) they are interested in, they can build a new spell using the relevant components. It will take at least four weeks to do so, but it could be longer depending on the complexity of the spell they are trying to create and how many of the components they already know vs how many "new" components they must learn while constructing it. Once it has been completed, they must spend 50% of the EXP they would normally spend to learn a new skill (rounded up).
