Hej everyone,
I’m Mario from Germany, and after reading along for a while, I decided it was time to register and say a proper hello.
I’ve had a deep passion for atmospheric roleplaying games and tabletop mechanics for years—especially systems that focus on survival, immersion, and harsh consequences rather than classic power fantasies. The long Nordic evenings definitely produce the best kind of moody, grounded game design.
By trade, I’m a software engineer and systems architect specializing in native Rust, offline AI pipelines, and deterministic state architectures. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been channeling both worlds into an experimental game engine called Trinity—a terminal/text-based survival RPG where your co-pilot isn’t just a branching dialogue tree, but an autonomous companion with persistent memory, dice checks, and her own agenda, running completely locally on your machine.
I joined to exchange thoughts on game mechanics, atmospheric storytelling, and community projects. And on a personal note: I fell in love with Scandinavia during two extensive road trips through Sweden, Finland, and Norway. So if anyone around here ever needs a dedicated Rust systems architect for exciting software or game-dev projects—feel free to reach out
Looking forward to great discussions!
Hälsningar,
Mario
