Jo precis, men jag tror att hon menar att människor utvecklar sin empati mycket i vår barndom och att vår barndom formar oss väldigt mycket, medan replikanterna som inte har någon barndom utvecklar sin empati på ett annat sätt. Inte att de inte skulle ha empati, men att det kanske tar sig i andra uttryck eller att vägen till att få empati (vilket ju även är en väg för oss människor) ter sig annorlunda men att den är samma när den väl kommer. Ordagrant säger hon såhär:
"It’s the idea of, they don’t have childhoods, and so they don’t develop empathy in the same way that we do. And then what would that do? How would that shift their worldview? How would you shape a city? How would you shape governance without that, without empathy?"
