Hi Guys,
it´s me again. After my first - not overly successful thread - I have now started my Western IV Campaign with the adventure "The Last Raid", provided in the second Core Rule Book. I will probably soon write a review about that game experience.
But for now, the first (and most important) thing I want to tell you, that, despite my criticism and doubts, the system is, so far, a lot of fun. Nevertheless, I did some house-ruling, but less than I feared.
In addition, that that is the core of this thread, somehow I got ridden of the devil and produced a lot of additional material for the game, which I would like to share.
I wrote to Anders of Askfageln about it, but haven´t received an answer so far - I hope, he doesn´t object.
Well, here is the link:
www.dropbox.com
Some explanation:
You will find:
- my house rules
- a turn tracker
- tokens for Destiny Points and Talent Tokens
- a telegraph blank (converted from the picture of an 1970s original)
- three sorts of Equipment Cards, one for weapons, one for ammo, and for for other equipment
- paper minis, specifically made for the starting adventure.
You can see examples below (the wooden figures for the turn tracker and the sleeves for the equipment cards you will have to provide yourself
).
Some notes:
The pictures for the weapons and some of the equipment cards were taken from the rulebook. All others are "artsified" (with BeFunky) and altered pictures from various sources. If you cut them out, best use the BACKSIDE, as the frame (a free png) for the front side is not entirely centered. If your printer is good, front and back should otherwise be aligned properly!
The paper minis were done with ChatGPT. The NPC portraits provided with the adventure were thus transferred into standing or riding paper minis (they should be recognizable). The biggest part, though, was done by myself. Unfortunately, ChatGPT has its restrictions, therefore the minis front and backs are not totally symmetrical. Especially the mounted minis are simply mirror images (the AI apologized a lot for that, but, well...). Also, ChatGPT has its limitations in depicting correct gun images, so do not look to closely at these. Still, I think they are usable.
The link should work, I hope you enjoy (and Anders doesn´t suddenly decide to object). Comments are welcome - but please remember, this is just fan material, far from perfect, as I am no professional.
