All participants place a number of dice, out of 4, on progress, and the rest on someone's guard. Next everyone rolls their respective progress dice. Each success adds one to their progress, but each dice resulting in the weapon's damage or lower adds one level of harm to an enemy. If two harming dice show the same number, it is lethal. Each level of harm decreases the number of dice available to spend in the beginning of each round, but each guard allows you to remove one incoming harm dice. Guards remain between rounds unless used to block harm, but everyone loses as many guards as he or she lacks weapon speed compared to the enemy with the highest weapon speed.
If anyone reaches 4 progress, the combat ends with them achieving their goal.
