Ive been meaning to run a small "wargames" scenario for a while, so wanted to see if there was interest.
Basically it will run more or less as an RPG sequence: You give orders and you hear back what comes out of it. I roll a few dice behind the scenes. It is players vs GM controlled forces, NOT PVP.
It relies on fog of war as you only have the information that your troops can provide.
As a player, you don't really need to be an expert in military stuff, having seen a few war movies will get you most of the way there. You will NOT have to learn any rules.
The plan is to do a unit of the British army in Norway, since its a very low level campaign and I have access to information about locations and encounters.
The Norwegian campaign also lends itself to a pretty dramatic affair with lots of desperate struggles.
Ideally it would have 2-4 players. Post frequently probably weekly if thats okay with everyone, faster if schedules permit. The flow will be that you guys get your reports, then everyone issues out their new orders. With 3 players, everyone has their own platoon (or so).
Language preferably in English (for king and country!), but I can accommodate.
