17. Music instruments of annihilation*
At first glance, the room seems to be filled with musical instruments, but looking closely they're all actually disguised weapons. The violins are bows and crossbows, the harp has a sharpened outer edge and the trombone hides a clever mechanism for firing a cloud of poisoned arrows when blown. There are muffled mumbling sounds coming from the piano – unclear why, since it is, or appears to be, empty. What looks like a wardrobe or cupboard at the room's far end is actually a door to the room containing Spettro's chest (18).
The large double bass case does not contain a large double bass, but half a goblin. The opper half, to be exact. Together with the goblin is a matchbook marked "Krax", a cigar stump of the brand Pharao, three small pieces of cloth in different colors, a bloodied ritual dagger, two dead mice, an crank and two arcade tokens that can be used in the machine in room 22.
The goblin's eyes are white and at first glance it seems to be dead. At second glace too, but if the PCs start theorizing about what might have happened, who might have killed the goblin etc it wakes up – it's an undead zombie goblin – and joins the conversation. The zombie goblin's name is Eteukitedna** and she is extremely confused about the whole situation. She doesn't remember her death or who killed her, or if it was an accident. She's very interested in solving the mystery (that might not even have a solution), but all of her ideas are some combination of impossible, silly, and unhelpful. Unfortunately she's also zombie-hungry for brains, which she won't remember until the characters show signs of tiring of trying to solve the mystery.
